The Alvin High School Marching Band is the single largest organization at Alvin High School. It performs at Alvin Varsity football games, marching contests, parades, pep rallies, and other community events year round. Members of the Alvin Marching Band are in grades 9-12 and are enrolled in a Concert Band, Percussion or Color Guard class at Alvin High School. 

The Alvin High School Marching Band was founded by Texas Bandmasters Hall of Fame Member, Otto Paris, in 1937. The Alvin Band won the 1939 Texas State Band Meet in Huntsville, a national Class C Band Meet in Abilene, and the 1940 World's Fair in New York City. The Alvin Band also toured the US East Coast, Canada, and New Mexico, before Mr. Paris left Alvin High School to fight in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
